My daughter will be 19 end of Jan 2010. She is continuing non advanced full time educatin at college and will be getting CB of £20 and EMA of £30.
(this has all been sorted with the correct gov. depts)

I understand that IS will stop for her as she will be 19yrs and have been advised by IS dept to claim Child Tax Credits for her...is this correct?

I am on Full disability premiums etc for IS..claiming for my Husband as my carer.
They are telling me that I will get 115.80 per week from them as I will lose all Is for my daughter
IS for myself and husband £188.90
minus IS for daughter £ 74.31
minus Income which is CA £ 53.10
CB £ 20.00
IB £142.45
_______
£ 26.65 minus
So I will lose all IS?
My income will be £115.80 to keep a home and 3 adults, do know how I can do this and very worried about it.
I read something on the benefit rates site that seemed to suggest that you can choose to stay on IS for your child in 19 yrs full time education or opt to go onto Child Tax Credits.
Is this correct, as it would appear to me that I would be better of staying on Is rather than claim Child Tex Credits.
Thanks for any advice in advance
